Stop the madness!

The 'alleged terrorist' was part of a group that mutilated the bodies of Americans and hung them for pictures.........
The Navy Seal may have 'punched him in the stomach'.........
These guys should be getting a heroes welcome instead of facing trial.  When will we learn?

Can you say hypocrisy?

Mr. Obama's Open Government?  Really?  A meeting to discuss open government.... held in private?

Something to ponder........

No one wants to see an innocent man killed, but does the argument that he was innocent because he was a bad shot really make him innocent.....??  This man shot a convenience store clerk while robbing him.  His partner fired the shots that actually killed the clerk.  Let's see...... he chose to rob the store, he chose to shoot the clerk, does the fact that he was the crook that couldn't shoot straight make him innocent?  Did the victim have a choice?

Stand For Christmas | Home

Let me be sure I understand. Retailers want people to spend their money for Christmas shopping, but choose not to mention Christmas in their ads or in their aisles. Just checking to be sure I understand the thought process.......

Do you ever wonder???????

If a pending item of legislation is really the best thing since sliced bread, why wouldn't 535 competent legislators find a way to pass it without having to go through the political gyrations that we are watching for the pending health care bill?  Do you ever wonder??????

The government health care program that is already in place......

Long Lines, Sketchy Care...headline from the Daily Press on Monday, November 23, 2009
Ok, since we already have a government administered health care program in place, would that be a good place to look for examples of success and justification for adding more government run health care?
Of course, it would be if there were any!  If we cannot get it right for our veterans, what do you think will happen for the rest of us?

Government advice at it's finest....

How many survivors of breast cancer or how many family members of those lost think waiting longer to detect the cancer would save lives? Even Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has beat a hasty retreat with so much political mumbo jumbo about this being preliminary.......all together now.....repeat after me.......can you say trial balloon? Bad judgement, bad policy, bad politics with our health.

To Bow or Not To Bow? That is the question.......

Do we really care whether Mr. Obama chose to bow to the leader of Japan?  If it was a conscious decision to show respect to the gentleman, good for Mr. Obama.  If it was intended to show some deference or weakness on our great nation's part, then too bad, but I will leave that to others to hash through.

Now......no need to bow, but wouldn't it be nice if the American taxpayers were shown a little respect?

Can I take a sick day because this makes me want to throw up?

Really???  Senator Dodd thinks all employees working over 30 hours per week should be entitled to 7 paid sick days per year.  It is bad enough that the government continues to adopt unfunded mandates and push them on us as citizens; now the brilliant Senator wants to add yet another unfunded mandate on business!  Well Senator Dodd, who do you think is going to pay for your latest boondoggle of an idea??  The American citizens are going to pay more for products and services!  Employees are going to loose their jobs so that the businesses can pay sick leave for the ones remaining employed.  Mrs. Employee/Mr. Employee, we would really love to be able to continue your employment at our company but with the increased cost of mandated sick leave, we just have to let you go.  I am sure you will understand.  It is better that some people have to give up their jobs so that the few remaining ones have this critical coverage.  Yes, I know that means that you will not be able to afford to feed your family without a job, but Senator Dodd thinks it is important for all businesses to provide this benefit.  Tell your kids we are very sorry.  Really?

By the way, how many businesses are currently operating at a $106,000,000,000,000 deficit?  What was I thinking......we may just need Congress to tell businesses how to operate after all!!!!!!!!!!!

Appropriate place to start......

Sit down and take a deep breath......and then wander over to this link.  You may want to have the paramedics on standby.

Link -> US Debt Clock
Really????......one federal employee for every 72 or so Americans?  ......and one illegal immigrant for every 30 Americans?  Would you rather not know that your share of the national debt is over $110,000?  Over $34,000 in annual taxes - assuming you are a taxpayer - and if the government did not spend another penny your taxes for the next three years would not cover the principal and interest?  Over $106,000,000,000,000 - that is $106 trillion for those keeping score - in UNFUNDED liabilities for these United States.

Does this make you want to hand more control of anything to the federal government?  Red state, blue state, sad state of affairs!!
